Base NFTs Top Sales Charts, Driven By AI Trading Game – Dappradar

Base NFTs Top Sales Charts

In September, the Base ecosystem made a splash in the world of non-fungible tokens, capturing five of the top ten spots in sales rankings, largely thanks to the meteoric rise of its AI-enabled trading game,.

DX Terminal NFTs logged 1.27 million transactions in September, representing a more than 1,000 % increase over the prior month. This surge positioned DX Terminal as the top collection by sales count, with Base’s BasePaint ranking second, underlining the growing strength of as a fertile ground for NFT experimentation.

Sales Count vs. Trading Volume

While Base dominated in transaction counts, volume (i.e., dollar value traded) remained concentrated on and Polygon. ETH blue-chips like Moonbirds and CryptoPunks, and Polygon’s Courtyard, continued to command headlines.

Polygon’s Courtyard led all collections with $43.9 million in traded volume, followed by Moonbirds at $34 million and CryptoPunks at $25.8 million. DX Terminal, despite its volume rise, occupied the fourth spot in trading volume with around $25.5 million, a nahead 1,700% month-on-month jump.

The DX Terminal Difference

What accounts for this outsized traction in sales but relatively modest volume? The answer lies in DX Terminal’s game mechanics. Rather than purely collecting or flipping art, each DX Terminal NFT acts as an that operates in a retro-futuristic simulation.

These agents autonomously navigate markets, respond to player inputs, compete with rival agents, and accumulate in-game status. Notably, DX Terminal does not offer direct real-world token payouts; instead, its in-game currency, WEBCOIN, is an off-chain, internally managed token with no official external token tie-ins.

Shifts in NFT Market Dynamics

By contrast, most of the continues to focus on high-value collectibles, such as Bored Apes and the Punk series, which tend to involve fewer but higher-priced transactions. In September, many of those saw significant pullbacks: trading volumes for CryptoPunks, Pudgy Penguins, and BAYC dropped by 50–60%, and even top runners like Courtyard and Moonbirds declined by 25% and 13.6%, respectively.

AI-Powered NFTs Signal a New Era for Base

The performance of DX Terminal suggests a shift in collector behavior: utility, interactivity, and agent autonomy are becoming potent value drivers. Base’s success in capturing sales count dominance with only a few months of visibility signals its ambition to become a serious alternative to the old guard of ETH and Polygon.

Whether Base’s volume footprint catches up remains to be viewn, but September’s charts tell a clear story: AI-enabled NFT gaming is rewriting the leaderboard.
